A new modernist home
Wortegem-Petegem
Sometimes, creating a new home starts with the perfect piece of land. When the client found a plot in Wortegem-Petegem with wide open views and no building restrictions, it felt like winning the lottery. In close collaboration with the architect, the house was designed from the inside out. The inspiration came from a trip to Copenhagen, where they discovered the warm and grounded aesthetics of 1960s modernist architectur, a style that fits perfectly in our climate. The result is a home that feels timeless, with the charm of a place that has always been there.
Interior design
The interior was carefully crafted by Atelier 10.8, with a focus on natural materials, rich textures, and a well-balanced palette. In the living space, our Bilbao sofa serves as the warm centerpiece. Its deep caramel colour and soft upholstery invite rest and reflection. The sofa brings a gentle softness to the architectural clarity of the space, offering both comfort and character. With its relaxed elegance, it embodies the kind of modernism this home was built upon.
Alongside the Bilbao sofa, the Camille one-seater adds an extra layer of cozy elegance to the space. Its soft blue upholstery provides a subtle contrast, effortlessly enhancing the room with comfort and timeless style.
Together, these pieces create a harmonious blend of warmth, comfort, and refined modernism.
