Joie de vivre
Knokke
In the refined Knokke residence of Edouard Vermeulen, a unique take on modular living unfolds. Our Capri one-seaters were aligned side by side to create a tailor-made sofa. During summer, crisp red-and-white striped covers brighten the space, while in winter, navy upholstery with white piping adds depth and contrast. The covers are removable, allowing the seating to adapt with the seasons, both practically and aesthetically. Though the seat frame was custom built in one continuous piece, the loose cushions ensure comfort and flexibility.
Complementing this configuration are two more bespoke pieces: a custom-designed ottoman in a bold, painterly fabric, and a soft beige bench, both made to measure in our atelier. These elements anchor the living area and reflect the client’s expressive style.
The interior itself, a collaboration with Nathalie Deboel and JPDEMEYER&CO is a story of evolution. What began as a proposal for a new entrance and staircase became a full home redesign, aimed at inspiring and welcoming guests. As the design process unfolded, it evolved into an interior that mirrors Edouard Vermeulen’s world: creative, curated, and crafted with purpose.
Every room reveals its own story, where solitary design elements take center stage. From our bespoke seating to the owner’s personal art pieces, each object becomes a character in a space filled with imagination and elegance.
