Residential home by Hélène Van Marcke
Genève
A home with a view asks for furniture that feels just as considered as the architecture around it. For this residential project in Genève, interior designer Hélène Van Marcke created a calm, contemporary setting where warm wood, soft light and generous volumes set the tone. Collett & Victor was invited to translate that atmosphere into bespoke seating pieces, made for everyday living, and designed to last.
At the heart of the living space sits the rust-coloured Barbara sofa, its rich tone echoing the warmth of the timber wall panelling and the autumnal palette outside. Tailored to the proportions of the room, the sofa brings structure and softness in equal measure.
Facing it, a pair of white Clara lounge chairs introduces a lighter note. Their sculptural, rounded silhouette balances the stronger lines in the interior, while the crisp upholstery catches the daylight that pours in through the large windows. Together, sofa and chairs shape a welcoming conversation area.
For slower moments, we created an aubergine-coloured sofa with a matching ottoman, a relaxed corner designed for unwinding. The deep, velvety shade adds depth without overpowering the space, offering a subtle contrast to the neutral backdrop. The ottoman completes the set-up: ideal for stretching out, reading, or simply taking in the view.
